Portrait Commissions


Upon initial contact, we will discuss your vision, thoughts and ideas for your portrait. This can cover mood, composition, setting, size and dress.Preparations then begin and photographs are taken, either at your residence or an appropriate location.
After editing photographs, I will note those I feel to be good portrait material. We will meet again to finalize the photo, or if needed take more pictures. (If you are not happy with the photo, you will not be happy with the painting.)I do on occassion use a picture supplied to me by the client, however, it cannot be professionally taken, as there are copyright issues.

Portrait Prices
Head and shoulders.............$1,200
3/4 view w/ hands...............$1,600
Full length...........................$2,000

Deposit and Final Payment
There is a 25% deposit due upon agreement of your portrait. Final payment is due upon delivery of the portrait. It is important that you are completly satisfied with the final painting. It is also important to know that after delivery small changes can be made, however I can't, for example, change the position of an arm or the expression on a face. I use only hand primed Belgian linen canvas and the finest professional materials available to assure your portait will be of heirloom quality.
